We've been cleaning up our basement - and are at the point of organizing our paint shelves. The bulk of the space is taken up with gallon cans with a relatively small amount of paint which we might need for touchup. I had thought I'd be able to go to HD or Lowes and pick up some empty quart containers and transfer the contents over to them. But neither store I went to yesterday had any empty cans available.
So, thinking outside the box. Are there other storage containers which would serve the same purpose? If I went with plastic food-grade containers (like Gladware), are there any factors I should take into consideration? Are they going to give me a tight enough seal - and would the plastic hold up to the paint chemicals?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Ivy
