i put a layer of wood chips and then some ripped up newspaper. it actually
weighs a lot less than cat litter. since i have plenty of paper it's not a
problem. peanut was fascinated watching me do that and of course had to
help. at least the litter box is clean.

Newspaper works great, I have used it in the past, I would tear it in
