The first treatment it is a good Idea to use the peroxide, Strong oxidizer and
will kill off any bacteria and other nasties that are there, it is not advisable
to continue to treat with peroxide yes it will also react and damage tissue.
but on the other hand the alcohol is a weak oxidizer,but it will de oil your
skin and can act as an irritant ,drying out and causing cracking of the skin.
allowing secondary infections to occur. a topical antibiotic after the first
treatment (non cream) will moisturize the area and prevent infection. I am not
an expert , just by my own experiences with working in the cat clinic at 10 lives
club non kill shelter. I was one of the volunteers that gave the meds to the
cats at the infirmary .

Maybe you should use alcohol, I used to use peroxide & my surgeon told me it kills healthy cells, & to use alcohol.
